Brink Lindsey
Brink Lindsey is a Senior Vice President at the Niskanen Center, where he plays a leading role in developing and articulating Niskanen’s distinctive policy vision. He has written about a wide range of policy issues as well as American social, economic, and cultural history.
Prior to joining Niskanen, Lindsey was vice president for research at the Cato Institute. From 2010 to 2012, he was a senior scholar in research and policy at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
Lindsey is the author of several books, including (most recently) The Permanent Problem: The Uncertain Transition from Mass Plenty to Mass Flourishing, and with co-author Steven Teles The Captured Economy: How the Powerful Enrich Themselves, Slow Down Growth, and Increase Inequality. He also writes the newsletter “The Permanent Problem” on Substack.
Lindsey earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
