Michelle Embury is a legal fellow at the Niskanen Center, where she is involved in all aspects of the organization’s pending administrative and litigation matters and collaborates with the organization’s policy teams. Prior to joining the Niskanen Center, Michelle served as a fellow at Renne Public Law Group, and as a legal intern at the Environmental Law Firm, the Department of the Interior’s Office of the Northeastern Regional Solicitor, and the Massachusetts Land Court. Prior to her legal career, Michelle worked in climate policy at the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Michelle holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was a Second-Year Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal and . She also holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Global Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. In her free time, Michelle enjoys backpacking, hiking, and spending time with her German Shepherd-Border Collie rescue.
