Helen Weston

Advocacy and Research Associate

Helen Weston serves as an Advocacy and Research Associate for criminal justice at the Niskanen Center. She assists in developing, advocating, and researching proposals to advance Niskanen’s criminal justice priorities at the federal and state level. Prior to joining Niskanen, Helen served as a Policy Analyst at CPAC’s Nolan Center for Justice where she regularly worked with Congress and state legislatures to advance policies that pursue public safety, government accountability, and the recognition of human dignity.

Prior to CPAC, Helen worked at both the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan and the National District Attorneys Association where she aided in legislative research and advocacy efforts on prosecutor-minded issues.

Helen holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology with a criminal justice emphasis from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
