Rev. Dr. David Gray serves as Senior Pastor of a Presbyterian church, consults to a variety of organizations and writes on politics, social policy, economics and religion. David directed New America’s Workforce and Family Program from 2005-2013. He served previously as Acting Assistant Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), where he was part of the senior management and budget teams at DOL, managed the DOL offices of regulatory policy, programmatic policy, compliance assistance/technology, and economic analysis/research; staffed, and was principal in, several White House working groups; and represented the U.S. abroad in negotiations in Mexico and in Chile. He has served as a Counsel to the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee and as a legislative aid to several members of Congress. His articles, books and media have been used in a variety of contexts. David is a graduate of Yale, Harvard, Northwestern University School of Law and Wesley Seminary.
