Corey Schrodt is the director of government affairs at the Niskanen Center. Prior to joining the Niskanen Center, Corey spent a decade on Capitol Hill, cementing a reputation for working on both sides of the aisle to advance legislation. He most recently served as Chief of Staff for Congressman Francis Rooney (R-FL), a conservative climate champion and leader on carbon tax policy. Over his decade on the Hill, Corey served with three Members of Congress, and is an expert in Congressional operations and how to convert policy ideas into actionable legislation. Further, as Congressman Rooney’s advisor while he served as co-chair of the Climate Solutions Caucus, Corey led bipartisan efforts to create significant, lasting change on climate policy.
