On Monday, June 17th, the Niskanen Center co-hosted a virtual event with Vital City to discuss data-driven policymaking.
Data and evidence are increasingly used to inform and shape policymaking. But does that mean we are actually creating more effective policies? A debate is roiling research, science, and policy circles about the value and role of evidence in crafting policies meant to solve U.S. society’s most pressing issues.
This virtual panel discussion features leading researchers and experts, who explore the when, where, why, and how of evidence and data in crafting effective federal policy. This discussion is informed by the latest issue of Vital City, Does Evidence Matter?: Research meets the real world, a co-venture with the Niskanen Center’s Hypertext journal.
